This week, we have a Fight Pass card in Singapore. Because it is in Singapore, we must wake up at 4:30am ET to watch it live. I have set the alarm and that I will be up ready to sweat these early fights. DraftKings does not have many big tournaments this week so that I will personally be playing more money games and less GPPs. I will still have 3 GPP lineups but most of my investment this week will be in money games. But, there is still money to be won so here are a Couple of plays I like and my fade of the week:
Cash Game play of this week — Stack, Leon Edwards ($8,600) AND Donald Cerrone ($7,600)
Donald”Cowboy” Cerrone is not in a boring fight. Whether he wins or loses, his fights usually score as a whole along with the winner almost always pays off their price tag in DraftKings. I usually look for 100 total points if I stack a struggle in cash and that I think with this being a probable 5-rounds, it should assess well over that. Should Edwards win this fight, it’s probably an early KO, and if this happens he’ll score quite high. If Cerrone wins, he could lock up a entry or a knockout and that will readily 10x his cost of $7.6k. However, either way, you have the winner at your lineup and the ensured 30-90 win bonus points if you do stack. I think this fight is going to be fun as long as it lasts and there ought to be a fantastic number of points added up before one of these two get finished. When it does go 5 rounds, these two should still get over 100 total points with the pace Cowboy brings to the table.
GPP drama of this week — Li Jingliang ($9,200)
Li Jingliang constantly puts on a show when he measures in the Octagon. He is a quick pace fighter that scores well on DraftKings if he wins. I believe he must be the better fighter wherever this fight ends up against Abe. In addition, I believe he can complete this battle on the feet or the floor and if this happens he’d probably pay off his high cost of $9.2k. He is the 3rd most expensive fighter on the card and that I believe he has the highest ceiling. That’s what we want in GPPs is a ceiling, so that is the reason why Jingliang is my GPP play of this week.
Underdog play of this week — Song Yadong ($7,900)
Song Yadong is my favourite DraftKings”underdog” this week. His gambling line has shifted to him being a slight favorite at -120 but he is $400 cheaper than his competitor. I believe saving that $400 is a good move in cash or GPP games so that I enjoy Yadong in all formats. I think Yadong will look to maintain this battle on the toes and hunt for that KO win. If he can get the win, I think he must easily pay off that cost and get at least 10x.
Fade of the week — Viviane Pereira ($8,800)
My main difficulty with Pereira is that she’s too pricey. At $8.8k, I need at least 88 points from her and I believe she needs get a finish to perform that. I don’t see that happening and neither does Vegas using a +617 ITD line. She doesn’t strike at a high enough speed or land sufficient takedowns to evaluate 88 points in my opinion. In her 2 UFC wins she held her competitor against the fence to get a fantastic section of the fight and no issues have been scored when that occurs. If she does this again , there is no way she comes close to 88 points even with a win. I have a full fade on Pereira this week and that I will pay up for different favorites instead.
